Thanks to our robust partnership with three of Germany’s largest providers of school servers, we have exclusive access to the educational infrastructure of more than 5,000 schools. This enables us to integrate apprenticeship and study advertisements from companies, authorities, colleges, and universities directly into school portals.
Within the MERLOT project, we are developing an intelligent Career Assistant that empowers students to find suitable professions more easily through an AI-driven job-matching app. This Smart Education Service offers a relevant step towards career orientation and is a relevant service on the MERLOT marketplace.

The platform helps identify which profession suits you and your skills, we create necessary application documents together and plan your career journey towards your dream job.
The Service “Karriereassistent”
The “Karriereassistent” is a new platform offered by Schülerkarriere GmbH that aids students in finding their dream jobs. It operates based on student interest and skill profiles created via self-assessment, direct questions, and tests either through chatbots inclusive of voice function or manual entry. An avatar named “Pfiffikus” acts as a career advisor guiding you toward the dream job while offering tips for further education and internships to increase your chances of success. The search for suitable job offers is made efficient while a network diagram visualizes why a job could suit the student. The Career Navigator shows the way from the current position to the final career goal.
Functionalities
The user journey in the “Karriereassistent” starts with a secure login based on the Gaia X concept of self-sovran data management, marking personalized career guidance’s beginning.
The journey continues with Schülerkarriere’s Career Assistant with the creation of an individualized profile, the Skill & Interest Profile. This process uses self-assessment tools, direct questioning, and tests to establish a cognitive position that aligns personal skills and interests with potential career paths. The platform then progresses to find a fitting Career Step/Education Step, where it leverages the previously established cognitive position to identify suitable career or educational steps for the user. Personalized advice is provided for further education and internships to enhance prospects.
As we move forward to the career path, the “Karriereassistent” acts as a Navigator providing a visual roadmap from the current placement toward desired career targets. Upon identification of a suitable job role users can apply directly since all necessary application documents have been prepared during their journey towards this point.
